Kenny, Paige, Sarah, and Riley Barger

Kenny Barger took office as Madison County Clerk on January 2, 2011.  He ran on bringing efficiency, customer service, and respect to the Office of Madison County Clerk.  
During the first half of his term, a significant number of changes have occurred including equipment upgrades at no cost to the county, enhanced training and preparation for the primary election and review of a variety of internal processes that lead to saving the county and taxpayers money.  He is a member of the Kentucky County Clerk’s Association, Madison County Elks Lodge and serves on the Usage Tax Committee and the Madison County Board of Elections.

A native of Richmond, Kentucky, Clerk Barger graduated from Madison Central High School and attended Eastern Kentucky University.  Prior to his election, he worked in his family’s business, Barger’s Towing and Recovery, and as Manager at Mikron Industries, Inc., both located in Richmond, Kentucky. 

He is active in the community as a member of College Hill United Methodist Church, Kiwanis Club of Richmond, the Richmond Chamber of Commerce and the Berea Chamber of Commerce.  Clerk Barger is married to Sarah Hill Barger, a teacher at Silver Creek Elementary School in Berea.  They have two daughters, Paige and Riley.
